The MFA Garden Club project was officially completed upon my graduation from UC Santa Barbara in 2009. There are still a few tales to tell of those days, and I will continue to update this blog with news of the Community Garden, the participants in the MFA Garden Club activities, and art around the world which explores ecological themes. I will be changing the name of the blog shortly, and some other aspects of its configuration, and I look forward to sharing my ongoing research with you.

ABOUT THE MFA GARDEN CLUB
The MFA Garden Club provides an opportunity for graduate students from the Art Department to work together cooperatively at the UCSB Community Garden & Greenhouse near Harder Stadium studios.
Projects include planting, tending and harvesting food and natural art materials, installing artworks in the greenhouse and garden environs, as well as developing and implementing curatorial projects, performances and artist talks.
MFA Garden Club activities are funded in part by the UCSB Interdisciplinary Humanities Center, as part of the 2008-2009 Food Matters series.

Directions to the Greenhouse
From Santa Barbara: take Hwy 101 to Hwy 217 towards UCSB. After entering campus, turn right on Mesa Road and continue straight through three lights. Turn left on Stadium Road. Take the first right just past the stadium. Drive past the stadium until you see Lot 38 and a dirt road with sign that says "service personel only". Park in Lot 38 and walk 1/4 mile on the dirt road to the greenhouse.
